A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:

The Office of Organizational Learning and Development (OOLD) offers several sustainability training opportunities throughout the year. In coordination with the Office of Sustainability, OOLD hosted a workshop that covered basic sustainability facts at UM, opportunities on campus and in the community to choose more sustainable options for commuting, waste diversion and reduction, purchasing, and food, and concluded with an interactive FAQ and fun game show style quiz of sustainability facts. Other examples of workshops hosted during the three year reporting period include one workshop on how to give a land acknowledgement and several wellness-themed workshops (self-care, nutrition, mental health, etc.).

All staff have been provided with a subscription to LinkedIn Learning. There are thousands of courses on this platform, many of which have sustainability content.
