The President’s Commission on Equity and Inclusion (PCEI) was created in 2016. This committee is responsible to address equity, inclusion, and civility issues from cross-campus viewpoints. This committee identifies promising practices that not only enhance equity, inclusion, and civility, but also serve as potential models for replication. These practices are organized by theme and prepared for campus-wide dissemination and implementation via a variety of programs.

The 2018-2019 committee goal is to establish the PCEI as a committee that drives inclusion and equity work through intentional programming and strategic accountability to engage all campus constituents and leverage the community cultural wealth of our diverse campus. Activities include a student climate survey as well as campus-wide listening sessions to garner input on campus climate and recruitment and retention efforts.
