The Office of Student Health and Wellness is responsible for coordinating the physical, mental and wellness lifestyle of our students, providing social and support services to our students and the Chatham community. The Office of Student Health provides wellness and counseling services for students. The Student Health Center provides basic first aid intervention, illness and injury assessment, and starter doses of over-the-counter medication. Chatham has partnered with the UPMC Urgent Care of Shadyside to attend to our students' urgent health needs at their location, a few miles away from our campus. If you are a registered Chatham student, you will be seen for basic services free of charge at that location.

Chatham's Office of Student Health offers yearly flu vaccinations for students, faculty, and staff.

Chatham’s Fit for the Future® program promotes health and wellness initiatives throughout the University community. Established in 2004, Fit for the Future has actually helped the University better manage its employees’ healthcare premiums with its provider, UPMC Health Care. Connected to the Fit for the Future program is the bicycle commuter tax credit available for full-time employees who commit to bicycling as their primary mode of transportation to work. Employees who sign up for this benefit are not permitted to have a campus parking permit as they are required to certify that cycling is their primary mode of transportation to and from work during the time frame in which they receive the reimbursement. The maximum reimbursement is $20 per month or $240 over a calendar year.
