A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
Estrella Mountain Community College began including Sustainability information into our college New Student Orientation sessions in the Spring 2010 semester. During this semester, a sustainability slide was incorporated into the New Student Orientation PowerPoint presentation. The slide included information regarding our Sustainability Team on campus, Student Sustainability Club, recycling, and reference to our website for more information. In the Fall 2010, campus green features were added to the New Student Orientation Guided Campus Tour. Beginning Spring 2011, a Sustainability Walking Tour map was included in the campus tour.
