A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

New Employee Orientation occurs bi-weekly and the Office of Sustainability has a 20 minute presentation slot. The presentation discusses the Office of Sustainability (including how to get involved with sustainability initiatives and the resources the office provides), recycling, gives an overview of the sustainability and climate action plan, and outlines what responsibilities employees have to uphold that plan. New faculty and staff are also encouraged to participate in the Sustainability Tracking and Evaluation Program (STEP) and to attend the Ohio University Sustainability Hub Seminar Series, which educates the campus and community on initiatives related to sustainability and climate action plan themes. New employees are also directed to the New Employee webpage on the Office of Sustainability website.
