Pratt provides bicycle racks throughout its 25-acre Brooklyn campus. In addition, two CitiBike bicycle share stations are adjacent to campus (at corner of Hall & Willoughby near the main entrance, and at the corner of Lafayette & St. James next to the School of Architecture in Higgins Hall). There is also one CitiBike bicycle share station on the same block as the Pratt Manhattan campus.
Does the institution provide short-term bicycle parking for all occupied buildings and makes long-term bicycle storage available for students who live on-site (if applicable)?:

Pratt provides bicycle racks throughout its 25-acre Brooklyn campus. Campus bicycle programs:
Bicycle racks have been placed around the campus, many on permeable pavers to increase storm water retention
A free bicycle helmet and fitting event is conducted most years in conjunction with the NYC DOT
Campus Security's policy: "Bicycles have become a very popular mode of transportation on campus. They are environmentally friendly and the Institute encourages their use. In an attempt to help safeguard your bicycle, the security department strongly recommends that you participate in a police department sponsored program called “Operation ID.” This means that the security department will etch a unique serial number on the frame of your bicycle. This registration will remain on file at the 88th Police Precinct and a copy retained at the Institute's Department of Public Safety Office. Should your bicycle be lost or stolen this information will help the police and or security to identify it. This service is provided free of charge and will be done in the Department of Public Safety Office, Room 105 Engineering Building."

Citi Bike is New York City’s bike share system, and the largest in the nation. Citi Bike launched in May 2013 and has become an essential part of our transportation network. It's fun, efficient and affordable – not to mention healthy and good for the environment.
Citi Bike, like other bike share systems, consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. The bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. People use bike share to commute to work or school, run errands, get to appointments or social engagements, and more.
Citi Bike is available for use 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year, and riders have access to thousands of bikes at hundreds of stations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Jersey City.

Two policies: The Institute participates in a program whereby faculty and staff can purchase MTA metro card passes using pre-tax dollars through the HR Department.

The partnership between Pratt Institute and NJ TRANSIT gives students more transportation options and opportunities. Pratt Institute full-time undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to receive a rail, bus, or light rail monthly pass at 25% off of the regular monthly pass price, when they enroll online through NJ TRANSIT's Quik-Tik program. Please note: students must be full time and can purchase passes only between place of residence and location of school. Entering other locations will result in rejection of the enrollment.
