A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
Spartan Dining Services collects all pre-consumer food waste from its various food preparation locations. The food waste is collected via bins in all the dining rooms and all kitchens. The contents of the bins are deposited in containers collected by GreenWaste Recovery, Inc. composting program. GreenWaste Recovery Inc takes the containers to their offsite facility for resorting and composting
