We have a pollinator garden where we avoid the use of fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides.

Siena Heights University owns a rain barrel that collects rain from the pipes of the main building of campus for use in the pollinator garden when the area is experiencing a drought

Siena Heights University partners with the Adrian Dominican Sisters to compost scraps from student and university kitchens on campus. We own one small composting bin near the pollinator garden to create more enriched soil. However, we bring all of the composted materials next door to the ADS's permaculture garden to place on their composting piles.
