SNHU has frozen online tuition rates in 2012 to make education as affordable as possible for all. During this time, the Commonfund Higher Education Price Index has increased by a total of 15%.

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), with generous support from The Shapiro Foundation and TheDream.US, announced a new initiative to educate 1,000 DACA students over the next five years. Working with on-the-ground partners, the initiative will provide full scholarships to DACA students to pursue associate and bachelor's degree programs through SNHU's competency-based education program, College for America.

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship and Regional Community College Scholarship for students coming from community colleges.

SNHU partnered with the Manchester YWCA to open SNHU Center for New Americans at YWCA NH, a new space for immigrant and refugee populations to gain access to education and support services. The Center will be staffed by SNHU employees and volunteers, with support from YWCA NH staff, and will offer ESOL programming, mentorship and coaching, college preparation, cultural orientation, and college-level courses and degree programs.
