University Global Compact "17 Rooms" Event:
ESF's Chief Sustainability Officer facilitated a focused discussion on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDS) number 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) at the University Global Compact "17 Rooms" event hosted by Rutgers State University of New Jersey, co-organized by the Brookings Institute, George Mason University, and the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The event focused on identifying game-changing priority actions for the SDGs.
Resilience through Innovation in Sustainable Energy (RISE) Network Conference:
ESF's Chief Sustainability Officer facilitated a conference-wide discussion focused on strategies to advance partnerships of academic institutions, community groups, indigenous people, nonprofits, and government organizations (federal, regional, state, and local). He also was a panel member speaking about lessons of the SUNY Puerto Rico Task force and its efforts to assist with post-disaster recovery.
SOMOS Puerto Rico:
SOMOS' mission is to unite the Latino community and raise awareness, advocate, and elevate social consciousness on public policy in collaboration with the New York State Assembly/Senate Puerto Rican and Hispanic Task Force; and to ensure the upward mobility of Latino youth through educational empowerment, mentoring programs and scholarships. ESF's Chief Sustainability Officer spoke at the SOMOS Puerto Rico event about lessons of the SUNY Puerto Rico Task force and its efforts to assist with post-disaster recovery.
Sustainable Development Solutions Network Zero Carbon Action Plan Launch:
ESF's Chief Sustainability Officer was a co-author for ZCAP, leading the plan's chapter on materials management. He helped lead the launch of ZCAP, including facilitating a webinar on the materials chapter. ZCAP was presented to the incoming US Administration as a policy pathways document.
AASHE 2020 Conference:
ESF's Sustainable Facilities Manager presented during AASHE's virtual 2020 Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (The Path to Zero Waste: Emotional Intelligence, Effective Advocacy and Sustainable Operations) and at the NYS GreenNY Forum (The Path to Zero Waste).

ESF's Chief Sustainability Officer led the development of the materials management chapter of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Zero Carbon Action Plan, presented to the incoming US Administration.
The College was awarded the 2020 NYS Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling's Recycling Award in the Education Category. As well as a 2020 NYSAR3 College Council Grant for its reusable menstrual cup program.

The College's students, staff, and faculty have been involved in numerous mentoring activists with other colleges, government agencies, and NGOs for the purposes of assisting with the ongoing development of their sustainability programs. Examples include Syracuse University, the University of the Virgin Islands, University of Puerto Rico, SUNY Sustainability Coalition, SUNY, City of Syracuse, and many others.

- ESF's Chief Sustainability Officer is involved in a number inter-campus organizations and collaborations, all mentioned above, and including America is All In, Beyond Plastics, Clinton Global Initiative, Global Council for Science and the Environment, National Recycling Coalition College and Universities Council, Planet Forward, RISE Network, Second Nature, SUNY / University of the West Indies Global Partnership for Climate Action, Sustainable Development Solutions Network, UNICEF-USA, University Global Coalition, University Global Compact, Wellbeing Economic Alliance, and Zero Carbon Consortium.
- ESF's Sustainable Facilities Manager presents about the College's zero waste programs at conferences and smaller, informal sustainability gatherings. After each presentation, other Colleges and Universities reach out for more information. Follow up meetings then occur to share ideas, best practices and technical expertise. Examples of collaboration include: SUNY New Paltz, Clarkson University, and LeMoyne College.
- ESF is active with the Syracuse University Environmental Finance Center, University of Puerto Rico, University of the Virgin Islands, University at Albany, and institutions regarding post-disaster recovery efforts in the Caribbean.
