The Tishman Environment and Design Center produces a bi-weekly newsletter that reaches a mailing list of over 12,000 students, faculty, and staff. The Newsletter includes features about student and faculty research and projects; upcoming sustainability-related events on campus and around New York City; volunteer, internship, and job opportunities; and a rotating campus sustainability fact.

There are signs near water refill stations that show how much water is saved by using a refillable bottle. We also have signs to encourage recycling where available.

Yes

A brief description of the sustainability walking map or tour:

The Sustainability Wayforming map includes icons for recycling, composting, eating, local food sources, bike share, producing, bike storage, deliveries and waste pick-up, water bottle refilling, personal recharging, watching/reading, community resources, and the Tishman Center office. It is a tool for students, faculty, and staff at The New School to identify the resources available to help them form new, more sustainable ways of interacting with the campus and the community.

Yes

The Tishman Environment and Design Center provides a "Living Sustainably at The New School" pamphlet for every room or suite in The new School's residence halls. The pamplet covers energy, waste, and water in the residence halls and includes web links for additional New School Sustainability resources.
