We do employ LCCA in our projects as we strive to understand the total cost of ownership in the various options that may be considered during the design process.

Philip Rosenau Company assists in designing Sustainability Programs focused on People, Planet and Profit (the “Triple Bottom Line”). We are dedicated to helping our customers deliver cleaner, safer, healthier and more sustainable facilities at the lowest overall total cost.
All available cleaning products must be certified "green cleaning" products. The only exceptions are products which are not 'green' (e.g. biocides like bleach) but necessary for the health and safety of the campus community.
We are committed to continuing to reduce our environmental impact. Our expertise is rooted in Green Cleaning, but with our industry leadership position, we have gone far beyond ordering “green” products. For over 10 years we have been working with the Delaware Valley Green Building Council in an ever increasing role to promote sustainable design and buildings throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond. We have participated in the development and implementation of standards with organizations such as Green Seal, U.S. Green Building Council and International Sanitary Supply Association. We have Cleaning Industry Management Standard – Green Building (CIMS-GB) certification experts on staff.

Yes. We purchase as much as possible locally (within 100 miles or less, sustainably sources seafood, etc.). Additionally, we feature weekly produce in our dining halls and once a month a Farm to Table event.
Dining Services updates their standards and criteria (e.g. range of "local" food) as suppliers become available and services improve. Long-term goals and criteria are also available.

Via Contract Labcoat supply vendor Cinta. Cinta claims to recycle up tp 50% of wash water, recycle >=50% of waste water, use EPA-endorsed chemical-free detergents, and favor uniforms made from recycled materials.

Specific projects, such as the Harker ISE Labs building project, establish specific sustainability criteria (EG stormwater mitigation strategies and metrics). Other services, such as building design, are required to provide life-cycle analyses of major systems, infrastructure, materials, etc. Other products, such as carpeting, must meet indoor air quality standards.

For a specific example, all municipal shower heads must be WaterSense certified and use <1.5gpm of water.

It is University policy to procure FSC Certified paper products wherever possible. We use this as a basis for most paper purchases. Wherever possible UD purchases paper with >50% recycled content. Printer paper is recommended to be 100% recycled content. Procurement is not centralized and does not control all paper purchases on campus.
