What is the institution’s current bicycle friendly award level? :
Bronze

A brief description of the institution’s bicycle program, including the year the award was achieved and/or renewed:

The University of Mississippi is working to increase support and resources for cyclists and cycling through the Active Transportation Advisory Committee, an interdepartmental advocacy group for active transportation programming, infrastructure, policy and education on campus. Currently, the university offers a full service bike shop that provides semesterly bike rentals, maintenance and classes. Students, faculty and staff may also take advantage of the university's bike share program, offered through Gotcha Bikes, which provides up to two hours free of riding per day. The university celebrated Bike Month in May, offering group rides and opportunities to try the bikeshare without registration.
The university was awarded Bike Friendly University at the bronze level in 2015 after previously receiving Honorable Mention and is seeking renewal in 2019.
