The guideline used is: ED OEHSMS GF Issued by Ministry of Environment (Issued Date: September 2016 Version: 1.1 – Standard 3.0 (Support) Clause: 3.4 (Documents Management) Sub-Clause 3.4.1 (B &C), 3.4.2, 3.4.4 (C, E).

A brief description of the key components of the custom OHSMS:

Some of the benefits of implementing the OHSMS framework components are: Reduce corporate risks and liabilities;
• Improve business efficiency; • Improve management of OHS and social impacts; and • Improve worker communication and community health and safety
1. Governance - Organizational structure supporting the appropriate assignment and delegation of responsibilities for the effective implementation and maintenance of the OHSMS.
2. 2. OHS Culture - Group and individual values, attitudes, competencies and behavioral patterns that determine the commitment to an organization’s OHSMS.
3. 3. Personnel Management - Procedures and processes utilized to ensure personnel are able to conduct OHS critical tasks.
4. 4. OHSMS - Processes, systems, and procedures utilized to identify and manage risks to as low as reasonably practicable. Here we define (1) OHS Risk Management Methodology and (2) OHSMS Management.
5. 5. OHSMS Performance Management - Periodic review points of the overall OHSMS at both tactical and operational levels to ensure the OHSMS is continually improved.
Illustrate how the five components of the framework work together. The framework is a risk-based, structured, management framework, yet highly adaptable and scalable. Some of the benefits of implementing the OHSMS framework components are: • Reduce corporate risks and liabilities; • Improve business efficiency; • Improve management of OHS and social impacts; and • Improve worker communication and community health and safety

A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :

The University of Sharjah has facilities support for security and safety for campus residents
1- Control room (Sensors and CCTV Camera) to respond to any emergency
2- There are alarms devices in the Disability washroom (for any emergency and help)
and corridors and parking areas (for fire)
3- There is a hotline that works 24/7 to report any emergency to facilities and planning department (maintenance and any operational issues) - See attached complaint escalation chart and service request policy
4- KPIs in all units and departments scorecard to build agile governance and operating model, with the aim to establish a robust and efficient operations platform on which to grow (% Internal audit action plans completed and Number of enterprise-level risks) which measure how fast the department respond and act towards risk-related comments (including workplace and health)
