The VIE fund was created to foster environmental awareness, promote civic responsibility, support students participating in experiential sustainability activities, and to advance green projects that improve campus life.

This fund would support projects such as bursaries and scholarships for students, innovative group-based or individual environmental initiatives, and Vanier garden projects.


A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:

The Vanier College Advisory Committee on the environment (VCACE) is set-up to oversee all applications and proposals as well as ensure that projects meet the objectives outlined in the Vanier College Sustainability Action Plan, the Vanier College Sustainability Policy, and the Vanier College Strategic Plan (2015-2020).
