A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
WCU Sustainability Peer Educators are undergraduate students who help organize and lead sustainability education and outreach programs primarily in WCU residence halls. Their goal is to promote a thorough understanding of sustainability by emphasizing the interconnections between the environmental, social and economic aspects of our local and global society. They encourage peers to engage in and support a campus culture that embraces sustainability principles and promotes a healthy, just future for all.
A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):
Residential students, with a primary focus on those living in residence halls on North Campus: Traditional housing in Tyson, Goshen, Killinger, and Schmidt Halls and USH Brandywine, Commonwealth, Allegheny, and University Halls.

The Wellness Promotion Peer Educators are a group of trained student leaders who are committed to enhancing the well-being of the Golden Ram community. The purpose of the program is to advocate for and promote responsible decision-making, personal well-being, and community safety. Through leadership, education, and awareness Peer Educators provide quality, innovative, and inclusive workshops, services, and events to the greater university community. Wellness Promotion Peer Educators are Bacchus Network Certified Peer Health Educations with training in various topical areas such as alcohol and other drugs, mental health, sexual health, and well-being.

Peer Education initiatives are designed and facilitated to support the health and well-being of all WCU students. With virtual and in-person engagement efforts, students both at the WCU main campus and other campus locations are able to participate.

Commuter Assistants provide coaching on using all modes of transportation, with an emphasis on shared and active modes of transportation, in addition to fielding questions about parking, and sustainable commuting methods.

The CA’s target audience are all off campus and commuter students at WCU but a higher level of focus is placed on first year students (including transfers).
