Western is a founding partner in a new community-wide bike-share program called “Drift Bikeshare.” Western will host one kiosk and five in the initial system of eight kiosks and 40 bikes spread across downtown. Students and employees will enjoy 50% off of memberships in this system to be rolled out the summer of 2020.

Fuel efficient vehicles get to park closer to front doors and electric car charging stations are available on campus for free.

Western has four Level 2 charging stations for students and employees that can be used for free.

Preferred parking is offered to those who use fuel efficient vehicles when traveling to campus. There are six "carpool only" parking spots close to buildings' entrance, encouraging students and employees to carpool. Students and employees have free access to La Crosse MTU city busses and the SMRT Bus commuter bus system which provides connections to nearby cities and villages. Western has installed a ChargePoint station that’s free for students and staff and are planning to install ChargePoint stations at each of our remote locations.
