A brief description of the sustainable operations and maintenance policy/program and/or O+M rating system(s) used:
All buildings are tracked for energy performance using EnergyCap software. A baseline for energy performance has been set using FY2015. The campus uses the EUI (kBtu/sf) as the overall performance metric. In addition, most buildings are metered and included on the Johnson Controls Building Automation system for controlling temperature performance and monitored 24/7.
Building spaces are proactively managed by scheduling rooms to control energy consumption. Scheduling classes and events in fewer buildings, and changing the set point from an occupied mode to an unoccupied mode in some of the buildings, the university will conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions.
