To qualify, how much of the campus must be Zero-Waste certified?

Institutions can earn bonus points under this credit even if a portion of the campus has achieved certification. A single certified building is sufficient to earn bonus points.

Common Issues Identified During Review

  • To count, the institution must have at least one TRUE Zero Waste Certified project or portfolio, OR be Certified by an approved national affiliate of the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA). Documentation affirming the certification is required.
