The STARS Cohort Program
Twelve Months of Exclusive Support and Training
Overview
The STARS Cohort program is designed to provide hands-on training and support to guide new and returning participants through the reporting process, with the ultimate aim of earning a STARS Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum rating.
Eligibility
The program is open to institutions that are not currently active participants, i.e., institutions that do not have a valid STARS rating or subscription.
Benefits
In addition to the existing benefits of a STARS subscription, cohort participants will have access to a full year of dedicated support, including:
- Monthly calls with other cohort members and AASHE staff.
- Insights into data collection strategies and other aspects of reporting.
- Access to a private, online community to brainstorm ideas, share resources and ask questions.
Expectations
To participate in the cohort, an institution must purchase a discounted STARS subscription by Dec. 31, 2021. To support participation, AASHE is offering cohort members 20% off the standard cost of an annual subscription.
Completing STARS is a fairly time intensive process, particularly for institutions with limited experience in sustainability reporting. Participants should be prepared to spend a minimum of 10 hours a month working on their report.
