Has the institution developed a bicycle plan?:
Yes

A brief description of the plan:

Boston University has worked to make the community bike-friendly and to facilitate the incorporation of bikes in BU’s transportation culture. Commonwealth Avenue, the transportation spine of the Charles River Campus, has the first bike lanes in Boston, a network now totaling over 100 miles. Additionally, the University’s Parking and Transportation Services works with the Dean of Students’ Office and the BU Police Department to promote several bike-safety campaigns.

The University has complete bicycle policies on both campuses which address issues related to bike registration, benefits, regulations, removal, impounded bicycles, stolen bicycles, safety education, public awareness, and outreach.
