In the fall of 2014 Bowdoin participated in the state-wide hearings on Central Maine Power Company's (CMP) rate cases. The CMP's Alternative Rate Plan Proposal called for set rates on residential and small business customers over the next five years. In the fall of 2015 Bowdoin signed on to the "American Campuses Act on Climate Pledge".
