Total percentage of students (graduate and undergraduate) that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary means of transportation:
A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
A survey of undergraduate and graduate students was conducted by a class project team to determine shuttle use, and the representative sample gained from the survey has been extrapolated to the population. Its an urban, primarily residential campus, so there is not much commuting to begin with. The campus shuttle is used primarily after dark by students who live off campus in the surrounding neighborhoods (they walk in the daytime); a small number of graduate students live off campus and take the city buses or the train.
