Lighting Control Standard

The new lighting control standard implemented by Cornell University was the recipient of the 2016 Worldwide Automated Logic Corporation “project of the year” for the innovative control of lighting with the building management system. This project forged the way to significantly reduce installation cost of lighting control by utilizing the building HVAC management system to control lighting throughout the facility. By using the building HVAC management system, additional scheduling, occupancy sensor coordination and daylight dimming coordination could be cost effectively implemented to further reduce the buildings electrical energy use.
