KnoxCorps
Knox College and the Galesburg Community Foundation have partnered in an innovative civic engagement program known as KnoxCorps. Officially launched in the fall of 2012, thirteen recent graduates and current students took up positions with local non-profit organizations to support and staff important initiatives and to bring additional energy and commitment to those organizations.

Center for Community Service
The Mark and Jeannette Kleine Center for Community Service works to meet the needs and interests of the Knox community to engage in volunteer and service projects in Galesburg and the Knox County area. The Center coordinates a wide range of volunteer service and charitable activities, working with students, student organizations, faculty, and staff. The Center is part of the Office of Student Development.

Yes

A brief description of the institution's collaborative sustainability partnership(s):

The Director of Campus Sustainability Initiatives serves on the advisory board for the Galesburg Sustainable Business Center.
The Office of Sustainability has partnered with local sustainable businesses to model waste-free events. The school has allocated staff time, student volunteers, and resources to these events.

Yes

A brief description of the institution's transformative sustainability partnership(s) with the local community:

The Office of Sustainability and the Office of Community Relations, in addition to several Knox students, have been working closely with the Galesburg Community Foundation, meeting regularly to address food security and sustainability issues community-wide. Staff time and resources are allocated to this project.
