A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):

To know the ecology in National Tsing Hua University, including the knowledge of birds, insects, plants and so on. Also participate in ecological investigation and promote the concept of ecological conservation to the public. Students were trained with the required knowledge and skills from experienced students, and then performed their outreach service works

Service Learning-Balay Give and Teach Operation

A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):

Balay is the word which means 'love' in Atayal language. The program focuses on taking care of disadvantaged children and hopes that students can accompany the children in remote areas and play with them. Besides, this program aims to assist junior high school students with their homework and to help them build confidence through companionship and concern. Students were trained with the required knowledge and skills from experienced students, and then performed their outreach service works.

Service Learning- Diversified Imagination, Gender Practice

A brief description of the student educators program (3rd program):

In our lives, there are lots of factors to affect our behaviour and decisions. Most people are restricted to social norms. Among them, 'gender' is one of the most important roles. Many things are decided by one's gender during the whole life. This program helps students to view things from a different angle "gender". Moreover, the program teaches students to be concerned about the sexual minority whose rights are ignored and to develop diverse perspectives from all kinds of activities. Students were trained with the required knowledge and skills from experienced students, and then performed their outreach service works.

A brief description of all other student peer-to-peer sustainability outreach and education programs:

UMC After-school Tutoring program

The program mainly combines the resources of school and community and lets both the community and college students accompany the disadvantaged children in the neighborhood. During the service, college students could be role models to schoolchildren. In addition, education can prevent children from being trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty.
