Info from Karen Appleby:
On the Vice Provost for Academic Personnel’s website, we have the part-time salary schedule (payment per credit hour) which defines several pay levels based on experience and educational qualifications.:

https://nau.edu/uploadedFiles/Administrative/Provost/Provost/_Forms/Part%20Time%20Salary%20Schedule%2016.pdf

Extended campuses is paying for almost 1,600 classes this spring, about 630 of which are being taught by part-time faculty. Of those 630 classes, 564 are three credits. So if we look at what the most common payments are for those three credit-courses, we find:

Rnk ID Salary Total
LVL 1 $670 2
$1,169 1
$1,754 1
** $2,730 166 $453,180
$4,095 2

LVL 2 $1,169 1
$2,339 2
** $2,940 112 $329,280
$3,150 11
$4,410 2
$4,725 2
$6,615 1

LVL 3 $1,169 1
$2,011 1
$2,339 1
$2,681 1
** $3,150 82 $258,300
$3,360 1

LVL 4 $1,754 1
$2,339 4
$2,923 2
** $3,360 167 $561,120

527 $1,601,880

AVG $3,040

If we multiply out the most common payment and then find the average of those, we get $3,040. On-campus, even if it’s different, won’t have as many classes as EC. So, I would use $3,000.
