1) Approximately 100 students help the College clean creeks in their communities. The Penticton and Kelowna campuses have formal days that involve community groups and the respective Parks departments of their city.

2) Dental Assistant Program on the Kelowna Campus has a free teeth cleaning clinic two times a year involving 25 students. Members of the public can make an appointment and receive free dental care.

3) 100 International and domestic students on the Kelowna and Vernon campuses worked on Chinese New Year’s cultural event for the community each year.

4) 50 International and recreational students (our baseball team) participated in the Terry Fox run in September to raise support for cancer research.

5) There are approximately 50 student and staff volunteers from the College Science, Technology and Health department who help organize and run the local science fair events in Kelowna and Vernon.

6) ENACTUS- is an organization involving 120 students on all four of our campuses. Projects that they have been involved with include the food banks, support for women’s groups and Instill Life.

7) The College held a give back to the community day on Feb 14th where over 350 students gave back to the community volunteering their services for the day to support local charities, organizations and groups.

8) Over 25 students support the college’s two golf tournaments – a fundraiser for the colleges foundation to support scholarships and bursaries for students.

9) 60 students participated putting on a play for our community each year. They are called the Red Dot Players.

10) 20 students help grow food in both the Vernon and Kelowna community gardens to support local food banks.
