A brief description of how green cleaning is incorporated into cleaning contracts:

SUNY Cortland has its own building cleaning staff. The cleaning and custodial staff utilized green cleaning products based on Executive Order 4 which requires ALL state owned facilities to comply with a Green Cleaning program and recommendations. The full Executive Order 4 can be found at this web link: https://www.dec.ny.gov/energy/71389.html The Executive Order covers multiple environmental and health as well as energy conservation related topics. Green Cleaning practices are one of the topics covered.

A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:

SUNY Cortland uses EnergyCAP as an overall energy management and bench-marking program. Select buildings in this database are then uploaded to the US EPA's Portfolio Manager. On a day to day basis, the Energy Manager and HVAC Control Technicians utilize three main Building Automation Systems each with a slightly different dashboard interface. The two main dashboards, Automated Logic Corporation's WebCTRL and Delta Controls EnteliWEB are used for Demand Response and energy monitoring.

A brief description of the water management or benchmarking program:

SUNY Cortland uses EnergyCAP and the US EPA's Portfolio Manager to monitor and benchmark campus water use. This monitors ALL campus buildings on the main campus. The three satellite campuses and two off campus housing facilities are not included in the EPA Portfolio Manager, this equals 173,150 GSF of our 2,657,100 GSF total. Based on water / sewer invoicing, usage is compared to the benchmark on a quarterly basis.
