The university uses the international standards ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001 as a reference for the internal guidelines of the management system that are structured under Decree 1072 of 2015 and the minimum standards with Resolution 0312 of the country.

A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :

The tracking of recordable incidents of work-related injuries or illnesses is carried out through the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SGSST), its objective is the prevention of injuries and illnesses caused by working conditions, in addition to of promoting the physical, mental and social well-being of the University community, is based on continuous improvement, in order to anticipate, recognize, evaluate and control all the risks that may affect the safety and health of our employees.

The methodology for calculating the indicators of injuries due to accidents, ailments and diseases comply with the provisions of Resolution 0312 of 2019 of the Ministry of Labor, which defines the minimum standards of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System SG-SST , in its Article 30 Minimum Indicators of Safety and Health at Work. Accident severity indicates the days lost due to work accidents in the year per 100 employees and the frequency rate of occupational accidents indicates the cases per 100 employees.
