The lowest paid career employee is paid $16/hour with an annual salary of $33,408. Benefits include medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, social security, UC paid life insurance, UC paid disability insurance, and primary retirement benefit. Total compensation is about $52,051.92 annually and $24.93 hourly, exceeding the living wage of $18.44.

The Fair Wage/Fair Work plan, implemented by President Napolitano, will increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour, over the course of three years, for UC employees hired to work at least 20 hours a week.
