The Certificate in Native Plant Studies is offered by the North Carolina Botanical Garden. The program covers knowledge of plant diversity, ecology, and systematics; understanding of ecosystem dynamics and conservation biology; appreciation of stewardship, conservation education, and informed citizenship. The degree program was first offered in 2016. Classes take place at the LEED Platinum NCBG Education Center.
