UW Bothell participated in a pilot project of the deployment of Lime bikes throughout the City of Bothell.

Our campus currently houses two King County Metro Community Vans on site which are able to be reserved by any community member with a vetted driver to use for trips in the community. These trips could be trips for a group to the grocery store from a senior center, a trip to the local sporting event for a group, or other local trips as needed. This program is overseen by a part time staff member who helps recruit, vet, and schedule rides for the vans on campus. These vans serve the communities of Bothell and Woodinville.
University-wide, we offer the UCAR program to the campus community. UCAR is an exclusive university affiliate car-sharing program housed within UW Fleet Services. UCARS are available for use related to university education, research, outreach and business.

All charging stations have parking spaces reserved for exclusive use by electric vehicles.

The University of Washington Bothell campus is home to approximately $56,000 in electric vehicle infrastructure. The campus offers level 2 double-head EV charging stations in all three parking garages, as well as one of our surface parking lots. All charging stations have parking spaces reserved for exclusive use by electric vehicles. While parked at the EV stations, the chargers are free to use.

State guidelines require a self-sustaining parking program which means that those parking on campus must pay for a parking permit. This encourages those that live nearby to use more active modes such as walk or bike to campus.

Our campus is a pay-to-park or permit-based campus for those wishing to drive. This allows those that are commuting to determine which option is actually more cost effective based on the parking price. This also enables those that reside closer to campus to utilize more active modes, and others in more urban dense environments to consider transit commutes instead of single-occupancy.
