We maintain an active social media presence on both Facebook (UW-River Falls Sustainability) and on Instagram (#sustainableUWRF). We also maintain a newsletter that is emailed out monthly.

A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:

The sustainability kiosk in the University Center has signage highlighting the green building features of the building; Educational signage in the University Center's bathrooms highlight the water-saving urinals and recycled rainwater collection; buildings across campus display plaques highlighting green cleaning products used in cleaning.

We also have several signs throughout our campus grounds educating people on stormwater management practices, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and the bee hotel.

Yes

A brief description of the sustainability walking map or tour:

UWRF has a document noting the sustainability aspects of several buildings and areas on campus. The Sustainability Office provides 15+ campus tours annually. During the 2020 calendar year, we also created a website where people can virtually view the same information in a map form for how the campus is sustainable - see https://www.uwrf.edu/Sustainability/SustainabilityMap.cfm. The online map is updated annually.

Yes

A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:

For each academic year, the Sustainability Office has worked with Residence Life to include a page in that department's handbook with tips for sustainable living. Information on the bike rental program, the surplus program, recycling on campus, and other tips are included. The Sustainability Office also has a series of green tips documents, with one explicitly addressing tips for having a green residence hall room.


A brief description of other comprehensive sustainability outreach materials and publications not covered above:

The Sustainability Office utilizes the campus daily newsletter (Falcon Daily) to share information on sustainability events and initiatives.

The Sustainability Office also utilizes digital signage in the University Center and Residence Halls. Slides promoting campus initiatives, including recycling, Campus Race to Zero Waste, battery collections, the surplus program, and events, are constantly running on the systems.
