A brief description of the practice:
Waterloo Campus:
Laurier has greatly reduced the number of printed course-related material and staff and faculty directories. All of these resources have been made easily accessible from the main university web page. In the past 5 years, printed course material has dropped from approximately 25,000 undergraduate course calendars to only 300.
Wilfrid Laurier has also developed an online directory of all faculty and staff, replacing the previously printed Laurier Phone Book.
Brantford Campus:
Laurier Brantford used to receive a printed copy of the phone directory from Waterloo. Now that everything is available on the main university web page, the phone directory is no longer printed. Laurier Brantford now prepares there own directory and distribute it by e-mail to staff and faculty.
