Scoring in the Innovation and Leadership section is capped at 10 bonus points total.

How has this credit changed between STARS Version 2 and Version 3?

This new credit in STARS awards a bonus point to institutions that are recognized for leadership by an external workplace assessment or awards program that is based, at least in part, on the results of an employee satisfaction survey. What types of workplace recognition programs qualify?

Any national or international program that is based, at least in part, on the results of an evaluation of employee satisfaction, for example Great Place To Work Certification (US).

Suggestions for Institutions

• Work with your institution’s human resources office and/or similar to determine whether workplace recognition has been achieved and/or to consider pursuing/expanding such recognitions.

Potential Data Quality Issues

• Documentation on one or more currently valid national or international employee satisfaction assessment or awards from the last three years is required.
