The CWRU Climate Action Network serves as the advisory Committee to the sustainability office. There is also a Climate Action Plan committee, a bike committee, a tree committee, and a Farm committee. Additionally in late 2023 the University began to form a Sustainability Leadership Committee with senior staff.

Recycling, Waste and Compost
Sustainable Transportation
Green Buildings and Grounds
Campus Engagement in Energy & Sustainability
Student Sustainability Ambassadors
Green Bag Lunch Series

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:

The Sustainability Leadership Committee and CWRU Climate Action Network (CAN) as described above have held a Climate Action Week for the last 3 years, are conducting institutional research on how different stakeholders feel about the urgency of acting on climate change, and gather faculty and researchers together to evaluate opportunities for collaborative and community benefit sustainability and climate related research project. Additionally CWRU CAN asks the campus community to pitch sustainability and climate related projects and helps to facilitate getting solutions implemented, for example recycling pipette tip boxes began in 2023 becuase of 2022 student pitch on the topic.
