Program 1:
Sustainability Certificate

Description:
CWU's Sustainability Certificate requires students to take 6 courses: SUST301 Introduction to Sustainability, in which they learn the concepts and fundamentals of sustainability and write a sustainability project proposal; SUST309 Sustainability Civic Engagement Experience during which students execute their sustainability project by partnering with a stakeholder and receiving faculty mentorship. SUST487 is the Sustainability Certificate Capstone class. Additionally students take 3 electives rooted in the three pillars of sustainability (one in Economy, one in Environment, and one in Society). Recent student projects have focused on campus food waste, sustainability literacy among CWU students, recycling access in Ellensburg, green laboratory practices at CWU, and sustainable food offerings by CWU Dining Services.

Program 2:
In ENST480 Campus Sustainability (previously ENST499 Campus Sustainability), students work on a quarter long sustainability project with campus stakeholders, and with faculty mentorship.
