A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:

A transportation survey developed by Kathleen Klaniecki and additional campus stakeholders was was sent to all members of the campus community in April 2022. There were 1551 respondents, 843 of whom were students.
Of students who commute to campus, 63.5% use a more sustainable form of transportation. Of the respondents, 280 commute by car or motorcycle, 14 carpool, 332 walk, bike, skateboard or scooter, 14 take a regional commuter bus, and 129 do distance learning.

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:

A transportation survey developed by Kathleen Klaniecki and additional campus stakeholders was was sent to all members of the campus community in April 2022. There were 1551 respondents, 708 of whom were employees (faculty/staff)
Of employees who commute to campus, 33% use a more sustainable form of transportation. Of the respondents, 453 commute by car or motorcycle, 24 carpool, 121 walk, bike, skateboard or scooter, 8 take a regional commuter bus, and 70 telecommute.
