A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

The Director of Sustainability & Campus Improvemnent goes over campus sustainability issues and initiatives at all new employee orientations except teaching faculty orientation. Information is passed along to teaching faculty, but the Director does not make a formal presentation at their orientation. Topics covered include recycling, energy consumption, participation/involvement, local foods, water conservation, and general sustainability-based activities on campus. In addition the Director of Sustainability & Campus Improvement reaches out to each academic department/program each year to set up a time to engage with them at a regularly scheduled departmental meeting and this is an opportunity to engage with new faculty.

Since COVID, the New Employee Orientation piece was turned into a video presentation.
