IC has an active Student Government Council as well as both a Staff Council and Faculty Council in addition to the Board of Trustees.

Several community members representing the Ithaca City School District and Cornell University are active participants on our Board of Trustees. Additionally, there were 4 community meetings held as a part of IC's strategic planning process to gain feedback from the public on the direction of IC investments. The President also holds monthly.ongoing meetings with community leaders, and Cabinet members serve on a number of community boards.
