Purchase College is part of the State University of New York system. Purchase College, SUNY, offers a unique education that combines programs in the liberal arts with conservatory programs in the arts in ways that emphasize inquiry, mastery of skills, and creativity. Purchase College combines, in one college and on one campus, four distinctive yet interacting academic foci: film and media studies, humanities, the natural and social sciences, and the performing and visual arts. North of New York City, Purchase College sits on 575 acres of land including an old growth forest.
