A brief description of the institution’s green event certification program:

The Green Your Event program was developed to help encourage event planners and participants to implement sustainable practices into Valpo’s many events. By applying green practices at these events, whether it’s a small meeting or a hundred people, the Valpo Community can help reduce our waste, reduce use of our valuable resources, and set an example of a sustainability future on our campus.

Benefits of Hosting a Green Event
By hosting a green event, your event will get official recognition from the Office of Sustainability, as well as a certificate of your event’s achievement. Hosting a Green Event also shows your group’s commitment to sustainable practices and the betterment of our campus and world!

How Do I Host a Green Event?
Hosting a Green Event is simple! Simply fill out the Green Your Event Checklist. In order for your event to be green, you must score a total of 75%. After you fill out the sheet, email it to the Office of Sustainability 2 weeks prior to the event. If your event meets all the requirements, you will receive a certificate that you can proudly display at your event!
