Specifically, the committee will work to further integrate sustainability research and practices into STEM education, position Cascadia as a national model for college best practices in campus sustainability, serve as an internal advisory committee for the new Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Sustainable Practices (BASSP) and the recently updated AAS-T degree in Environmental Technology and Sustainable Practices, engage students in real-world applications of sustainability theories and best management practices and create spaces and identify resources that allow for the development of undergraduate research opportunities.

The Cascadia College Sustainability Committee is also charged with working alongside UWB’s Sustainability Committee in order to ensure a campus wide vision of sustainability and a sharing of resources toward aligned goals.
