HPU's Spirit Club consisted of 130 students in the 2011-2012 academic year, all of whom engaged in community service. Residence Life requires all students living in on-campus housing to perform community service, and 198 students conducted an average of 3 hours of community service each, for a total of 594 hours during the 2011-2012 school year. In addition to these students, community service was performed by students in HPU's cheer and dance programs, HPU's President's Host program, and at the Sea Warrior Service Days on September 2nd, 2011 and October 13th, 2011 (total of 165 students).
