We encourage students, faculty and staff to use public transportation (and offer discounted public transportation tickets and have arranged convenient pick-up and drop-off times with the transit authority), we encourage fuel efficiency (by offering convenient parking for electric, hybrid, and fuel efficient vehicles), and we utilize some electric vehicles in our facilities department.

A brief description of the institution’s initiatives to minimize air pollutant emissions from stationary sources, including efforts made during the previous three years:
Our main source of stationary emissions is from our boilers which are 25 years old. In the next phase of our Master Plan we intend to either replace the boilers with a more efficient system or replace them with a campus-wide geothermal system. We are currently reviewing our options.
