Does the institution offer housing options to accomodate the special needs of transgender and transitioning students (either as a matter of policy or as standard practice)?:
A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:
Student Housing accommodates students on a case by case basis. Transgender and transitioning students are welcomed into Student Housing and their needs supported once they are here. Many of the residence buildings are set up to be inclusive from the get-go, with mixed gender units, apartment style complexes and, in the new Totem Park complex which is being built, private washrooms. Student Housing also has a non-discrimination clause in its assignment policy and contracts with the residents.
