UH regularly coordinates with Rice University to improve our sustainability programs and introduce new ideas to our campuses. Rice has an established sustainability program that inspires UH to advance waste diversion programs, student engagement, and long-term strategic plans.

UH is currently discussing a Sustainability Action Plan for the institution that would include climate goals. Representative of UH have reached out to other national and Texas institutions, including the University of Texas, Texas A&M, Rice, University of North Texas, Colorado State University, Arizona State University, and others.
