A brief description of the metering system:
Valencia College meters all electricity on a campus basis through our utilities. We are in the process of putting sub meters on all buildings on all campuses, tied into the building automation systems. All new buildings are sub metered, and retrofit is ongoing.
A small amount of natural gas is used for science labs, cafeteria, reheat in 3 buildings, a kiln, hand backup generators. Meters are on a campus wide basis, with a few sub meters.
