W&L does not have any defined indoor bike storage, but we do have areas where bikes may be stored inside. We also have adequate outdoor storage facilities, shower facilities and lockers for bicycle commuters in at least one building.

Covered parking/storage is available outside the residence halls.

The Blue Bike program allows W&L students, faculty and staff to "check out" bikes from a central location at the main campus library. Bikes can be checked out for just a trip across campus or for a long term loan. All bikes come with a lock and helmet to increase user-friendliness for the new or 'occasional only' bike rider. This program has expanded from a small donor-inspired initiative to a widely used, high visibility program and has greatly increased biking on campus.

W&L has an arrangement with Maury Express operated by Radar Transit to provide free passes for students.

The Traveller Dispatch service provides rides on request within a five mile radius of campus seven days a week from 10PM-2AM.

The University provides a fixed route shuttle service, used primarily for student transit to off campus social engagements, WED/FRI/SAT from 10PM-2AM. The fleet of four 28 passenger vans provides a total approximately 2,000 student rides a week.

Three cars are available on campus for students to check-out so they can attend service learning opportunities.

One station is located in the parking lot that serves student housing as well as a popular student center. Its is adjacent to a designated EV priority parking spot.

The University has a Work/Life program that facilitates non-traditional arrangements, such as telecommuting and flexible schedules, based on the needs of the individuals and departments involved.

The condensed work week is a standard option for employees who wish to pursue it, as their specific responsibilities allow. It is most popular during the summer months when employees choose to work longer, but fewer days during the week.

The University offers a mortgage benefit through which employees may secure a mortgage with an exceptionally low interest rate through the University, rather than a bank. This puts homes within the immediate area of the institution, a typically higher priced area the more, within range of a larger group of employees. the University Wellness program also incentivizes physical activity through reduced insurance premiums, encouraging those within walking distance of campus to commute on their feet (or bikes).
